Lessons from Maître Bac

For recreational fencers:

      Beginners
            who prefer a one-to-one training programme
            who prefer a flexible training schedule
            who want an accelerated training programme

      Intermediate fencers
            who prefer a one-to-one training programme
            who prefer a flexible training schedule
            who need remedial training
            who want to learn more fencing tactics and strategies

      Advanced fencers
            who prefer a one-to-one training programme
            who want to polish their fencing techniques, tactics and strategies

      Fencers resuming fencing
            who need to revise the skills they had learned
            who prefer a one-to-one training programme
            who prefer a flexible training schedule

For competitive fencers:

            who want to reach championship class
            who need a one-to-one intensive and rigorous training programme

The student's assets and shortcomings will be analyzed and a training programme will be tailored accordingly. In addition to technical training, a complementary physical-exercise or circuit training programme will be drawn up and practised. Pointers on proper diet and psychological preparation for a tournament will be discussed. The entire private training programme is designed to bring the competitive fencer progressively to peak physical, mental and technical condition for his/her competition.

(N.B. It is advisable for students to supplement their private lessons with a fencing club membership in order to fence with a variety of opponents for the enhancement of fencing experience.)
